Waxing At Twist of Elegance Esthetics, waxing is more than simply removing unwanted hair—it’s part of caring for the skin you’re in. Each service is provided in a private, welcoming setting with attention to your comfort, skin health, and beautifully smooth results. Whether you’re maintaining your brows and facial areas, refreshing your underarms, preparing for a special occasion, or making body waxing part of your regular self-care routine, your treatment is approached with care and intention. Professional waxing removes hair from the root for longer-lasting smoothness while helping you maintain a polished, well-groomed appearance without the daily upkeep of shaving. Our approach is especially mindful of concerns that can accompany regular hair removal, including **ingrown hairs, irritation, sensitivity, and the appearance of uneven skin tone**. Because every client’s skin is different, your service is tailored with your skin type, treatment area, and individual needs in mind. Preparing for Your Wax For the best possible results, please allow your hair to grow to **at least ¼ inch in length** before your appointment. This is typically about **four weeks of growth after your last shave** and gives the wax enough hair to properly grip and remove it from the root. Please review the following before your appointment: * **Retin-A:** Discontinue use on the area being waxed for at least **two weeks prior to waxing**. * **Accutane:** Clients who have used Accutane must have discontinued use for at least **six months prior to waxing**. *** Please avoid shaving, trimming the hair too closely, or using another hair-removal method that removes the hair from the root before your scheduled wax.
